We found the Monte Carlo Hotel to be an ideal location for the Summit as it offers excellent and convenient meeting facilities and affordable sleeping rooms given its prime location on the Strip. The APCI conducted a special Live Seminar, "The Business of Doing Business as a Personal Chef" ^©, on Tuesday October 16, 2001. We had a Summit Social Event on the evening of the 17th to enhance the opportunity for Networking with your peers. AND IT WAS A BLAST!! This year's West Coast Summit consisted of a series of meetings and presentations all day on Wednesday the 17th and Thursday the 18th.

We were so pleased to announce our keynote speaker at the Las Vegas Summit is award winning motivational speaker and author Lee Silber. Lee's course at the Learning Annex which first grabbed our attention is titled "How to Promote Anything, Anytime, Anywhere." His key objectives teach the ability to promote yourself, sell without selling, networking, and how to outsmart the competition. Lee is best known for using humor, audience participation, and skill building to teach attendees practical, long lasting skills that will assist them in furthering their business and increasing their profitability. Each presentation is custom designed for the attending group and is intended to entertain as well as provide valuable information specifically intended for the particular group in attendance.
In addition to being an admired speaker Lee Silber is also a productive author. Among Lee's various books are "Career Management for the Creative Person", and "Time Management for the Creative Person".

The Live Seminar was be held on October 16 at 9:00 AM. Seminar attendees were granted a tuition discount for attending the two day Summit and, as new APCA members, were invited to attend the Summit Sessions with the established members. This afforded our newest members the opportunity to greet and meet the established personal chefs. This was a fantastic opportunity to get a big head start for their business. If you have ever considered taking the Live Seminar, this was the time and place to do it!
